Charlie Dean

I am a 24-year-old wildlife camera operator/assistant based out of Bristol. I have worked as principal camera operator on several documentary projects as well as producing my own commercial work and short films. As a GVC qualified drone pilot I have logged 100+ commercial flying hours and over 200+ hobbyist hours.  As well as 100+ shooting hours on the Sony FS7.

As a British wildlife enthusiast, I studied Zoology at university before completing a Wildlife Filmmaking MA at the University of the West of England. I love all things documentary, but my true passion lies in Natural History. I am a technically minded individual who fully enjoys the challenge of creating bespoke camera rigs to best tell the story of each subject species. Whether it be a tiny harvest mouse navigating the hidden worlds of grasslands or wild Exmoor ponies jostling for status upon the moors; my goal with my cinematography is to fully immerse the audience into the captivating and often chaotic scenes of the natural world.
